iPiper - the new way to play the bagpipes on your iphone! The Great Highland Bagpipe is truly one of the worlds most difficult and intricate instruments, now with iPiper you can instantly become a 'Piper!' LearnThe Highland Bagpipes consists of three parts, Drones, Chanter and Bag. The bag is an airtight reservoir allowing the Piper to regulate airflow to the Drones and Chanter. The Drone consisting of 1 Bass and 2 Tenors produces a constant tone which when tuned produces harmonics relative with each note of the Chanter. The fingerboard where the melody is produced is called the Chanter and consists of 9 notes. When played, melodies are made up of an intricate combination of notes, grace notes and embellishments and structured to form tunes using both sets of hands. iPiper invites you to listen to some pre-recorded traditional songs, so you too can learn how to be an iPiper! PlayiPiper emulates the sound of A Great Highland Bagpipe. As a 'Piper' you will be able to play tunes using our unique user interface and play the notes of traditional pipe tunes simply with your thumbs.
